Our goal

At Nine on Mitchell, our goal is to create a home where everyone feels comfortable, safe and respected. Shared living works best when we are all considerate of one another, so these house rules are here to support a positive environment for all tenants.

The rules

  • No smoking is permitted anywhere in the building at any time. This is a fire hazard and a breach of your tenancy.
  • No pets of any kind are to be kept on (or in) the premises. This includes feeding strays and pet-sitting.
  • No illegal activity is allowed on the premises.
  • No harassment, threatening behaviour or intentional damage of any form will be tolerated. These may result in immediate eviction.
  • No excessive drinking is permitted on the premises.
  • No parties or loud music at any time. If you would like to play music, please use headphones.
  • Heaters must be switched off when the room is unattended — including heat pumps — to avoid risk of fire.
  • Washing machines and dryers are not to be used after 10 pm.
  • Dishwashing liquid, toilet paper and bin liners are provided. All other personal items are your own responsibility.
  • No personal items are to be left in the common areas.
  • Tenants must not cause any interference with the reasonable peace, comfort or privacy of any other tenant. This includes guests — please ensure they comply.
  • Please report any maintenance issues or damage as soon as possible.
